Ambassador Committee

Statement of Purpose | Be welcoming and resourceful to all business members and individuals to the Battle Creek Area Chamber of Commerce while helping the Chamber to provide the best in membership services and business advocacy.

Marketing & Communications Committee
Statement of Purpose | The Marketing & Communications Committee develops marketing communications and strategies for the Battle Creek Area Chamber of Commerce’s strategic pillars and in accordance of the mission and vision. The Committee is made up of diverse members and stakeholders. The Committee works to strengthen the awareness of the Battle Creek Area Chamber of Commerce as a community brand and to enhance the engagement, member growth and retention of the organizations.

Military Affairs Committee

Statement of Purpose | The Military Affairs Committee recognizes the significance of the military presence in our community. Its goal is to promote and foster excellent relations between the business sector and the military.

  • To foster and expand the relationships between the community and the local military units/installations in the greater Battle Creek area, in particular, to:
    • Promote community awareness of the scope, mission and positive economic and social impact of local military installations
  • Recognize military members, federal employees and their families through events such as:
    • The Armed Forces Appreciation Luncheon
    • Civic Leaders Tour
    • Community/Military Ball
  • Support local military units/installations, the Fort Custer National Cemetery, the VA Medical Center, the Hart-Doyle Federal Center (DLIS/DRMS), and various other military affairs organizations (i.e. VFW, AFSA, Navy League, etc.)

Government Affairs, Advocacy & Development Committee

Statement of Purpose | The Battle Creek Area Chamber of Commerce mobilizes the community to speak with a highly influential voice in support of public policies that create economic success.

Membership & Events Committee

Statement of Purpose | The Membership Committee welcomes new members and works to enhance membership retention. Responsibilities of committee members include attending new member ribbon cuttings, groundbreakings, etc. as well as greeting new members virtually and in-person events.

Silent Observer Committee

Statement of Purpose | The Silent Observer Committee aids in the development of a positive economic environment and quality of life in our community by involving citizens and businesses in crime prevention and deterrence, aid in crime detection, and assist in the successful prosecution of those persons engaged in criminal activity within our community.
